Power Sgrafitto Abstract Drawing_ Day 7

Day 7 assignment is Envy.  I had fun with this.  I kind of got into character and acted angry as I manipulated the powder.  I didn't have an idea of what I wanted to come of it I just let the frit fly!  In all of 2 minutes it shaped itself.
Envy, if left unchecked will cloud your soul until it is black.

Powder Sgrafitto Abstract Drawing_Day 6 Waste

Day 6 abstract assignment is waste.  When I think of waste I think of over consumption and carelessness, except in matters of time.  You can't put enough time into your passions and experiences - especially those with family and friends.  John Lennon said that time enjoyed wasted is not waste - which I'm pretty sure originated somewhere else, but you get the point :)

Powder Sgrafitto Abstract Drawing_Day 5 Communication

Today's assignment is communication.  I keep thinking about those commercials from the 90's with that beautiful little girl talking about the information superhighway.  This is my rendition of the world wide web.

Powder Sgrafitto Abstract Drawing_Day 4 Chaos

Day 4 assignment is chaos.  This came to me immediately because my chaos is being pulled in all directions.  What's that all about when everybody wants a piece of you?  All I want to do is play with glass!!!

Powder Sgrafitto Abstract Drawing_Day 3 Generosity

Today's assignment is to draw generosity.  I had to think about this for a while.  Generosity comes from within... and it changes you.

Powder Sgrafitto Abstract Drawing_Day 2 Effulgence

Day 2 assignment is Effulgence - a brilliant radiance

Powder Sgrafitto Drawing Challenge January 2016 - Day 1

A new year and a new challenge.  This 30 day challenge is using sgrafitto drawing in abstract.  This is hard for me. Being scientifically oriented I don't see the world in abstract but it's cool to try.
Day 1 assignment is to draw comfort.  When I think of comfort I think of the light that shines through the clouds on me.
