Today's assignment is to draw "motivation" in the abstract.  My intent was to try to use light to show motivation in this lady's face.  It was a little too ambitious for my skill level but not a bad effort.  This was the end of my time limit so had to stop.  Maybe I'll go back and finish her another time though.  She definitely

has possibilities.

Today's assignment is to draw elegance in the abstract.  When I think of elegance I visualize flow and curves, like that of a woman's silhouette or a flowing delicate fabric.

This drawing is meant to depict fragility. Sometimes a spirit is very delicate and vulnerable and can be easily broken or damaged.  But then nature of life is fragile.  Uncontrollable events happen all the time in life. 
Joan Jett writes that life is strong and fragile at the same time. "It's a paradox...It's both things like quantum physics: It's a particle and a wave at the same time.  It all exists all together."

Today's assignment is to draw justice.  Justice was hard for me to convey in abstract.  I miss the simplicity of the world where we had Superman and Batman to stand up for truth and justice. So then we grow up and realize that justice isn't always the same for every person and it isn't meted out equally according to actions, but sometimes one's color, or religion, or any number of traits determines a consequence. 
Step into this world where justice doesn't see color.

Day 7 assignment is Envy.  I had fun with this.  I kind of got into character and acted angry as I manipulated the powder.  I didn't have an idea of what I wanted to come of it I just let the frit fly!  In all of 2 minutes it shaped itself.
Envy, if left unchecked will cloud your soul until it is black.

Day 6 abstract assignment is waste.  When I think of waste I think of over consumption and carelessness, except in matters of time.  You can't put enough time into your passions and experiences - especially those with family and friends.  John Lennon said that time enjoyed wasted is not waste - which I'm pretty sure originated somewhere else, but you get the point :)
